Privacy Policy — Free Up Space: Storage Cleaner
Free Up Space: Storage Cleaner (“the App”) is provided by Horizonte Studios (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it.
1. Summary
The App is designed to help you review and clean storage space on your Android device. We do not operate user accounts, cloud backup, or our own data-collection servers.
Your photos, videos, documents, downloads, file names, file paths, media identifiers, thumbnails, installed-app lists, and scan results stay 100% on your device. We never upload, sell, rent, or share your files or personal media.
To support the free version of the App, we integrate third-party advertising services (AppLovin MAX), which may collect and share device and advertising identifiers as described in Section 5.
2. Storage, Media Access, and On-Device Processing
The App requests storage or media permissions ("All files access" / MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or scoped media permissions) only after you choose to scan your device.
This access is used solely on your device to:
- Identify duplicate photos, videos, and files while protecting original copies;
- Locate large files, heavy downloads, screenshots, and empty folders;
- Organize storage categories for your review; and
- Allow you to delete selected items directly to reclaim storage space.
All file and media analysis is performed locally on your device. The App does not transmit your files, media, file names, paths, thumbnails, hashes, or scan results to Horizonte Studios or to third parties. You can change or revoke storage permissions at any time in your Android device settings.
3. Installed Applications Review
The App may display a list of user-installed applications on your device so you can review storage usage and choose whether to uninstall unused apps through Android’s standard system confirmation dialog (REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES).
This list is processed strictly on your device and is never transmitted off your device.
4. Pro Purchase (Google Play Billing)
The App offers an optional upgrade, Free Up Space Pro, through Google Play Billing.
Payments are processed directly by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Google processes purchase-related information according to the Google Privacy Policy.
The App communicates with Google Play to display the Pro product, process a purchase, restore a prior purchase, and verify whether Pro is active (which disables advertisements).
5. Advertising and Device Identifiers (Free Version)
In the free version of the App, we use the AppLovin MAX SDK (com.applovin:applovin-sdk) and Google Play Services Ads Identifier to display advertisements.
When ads are enabled, AppLovin and its advertising partners may automatically collect and process certain device-level data, including:
- Device and advertising identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID / AAID);
- Coarse IP-based diagnostic or network information required for ad delivery; and
- Ad interaction, analytics, and fraud-prevention signals.
These identifiers are encrypted in transit and used for advertising/marketing, analytics, and fraud prevention/security compliance. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in your Android device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads). Upgrading to Free Up Space Pro disables ad requests in the App.

6. Information Stored Locally
The App stores limited operational preferences locally on your device, such as:
- Your theme and language preferences;
- Onboarding and cleanup rules/preferences;
- Temporary scan, selection, and cleanup history results; and
- Local entitlement cache for Free Up Space Pro.
This information remains on your device and is removed if you clear the App’s data or uninstall the App.
7. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, upload, or transmit off your device:
- Your photos, videos, audio files, documents, or downloads;
- File names, file paths, media thumbnails, or storage scan results;
- Contacts, messages, call logs, calendar events, or microphone data;
- Account credentials or payment card information.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International Users and Legal Bases
The App is offered globally. File and storage scanning happens locally on your device. Where applicable (such as under GDPR, UK GDPR, LGPD, or CCPA), the legal bases for limited processing by integrated third-party services (Google Play Billing and AppLovin) include user consent, performance of a requested service, and legitimate interests in operating, monetizing, and securing the App.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data, or to opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings or in-app consent prompts where applicable.
10. Security
All local storage analysis remains on your device, and any network communication with Google Play or third-party SDKs is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes or when legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date.
